No one likes playing in the rain, and we won’t make you! If the weather is looking too grim to play safely and have fun, we will make the call to cancel the night. If this happens, teams will be refunded at the end of the season; each night called off is $50 (one-eighth of your registration) back in your pocket.

Much to Kageyama’s chagrin, Volleyball is not a solo sport; you need teammates to make it happen! Currently, we do not offer an individuals sign up, but, we want to help you connect with other teams that may be looking for someone to complete their squad.

We get it. You wanna go camping, attend that music festival, or embark on the yoga retreat you’ve been dreaming of. Life happens, and sometimes you have to miss your super fun grass volleyball league! We ask that you try and find yourself an awesome sub to take your place—this could be a friend or someone from our Find A Team page. On the off-chance your entire team will be away, a full team of subs is A-okay! And if you absolutely can’t find anybody, give us a shout at tworiversvb@gmail.com and let us know—with advance warning, we can adjust the pools and hold your ranking for the night. If we don’t hear from you, your team will get 0 points on the night and be moved down a tier in the rankings.

We’re so excited to be your first! Here’s your quick TL;DR to catch you up:

• Shoes = optional. We think barefoot on the grass is the way to go but we respect wanting to keep your little piggies safe. Keep the cleats at home, though. We don’t need anyone’s feet getting impaled.

• Same game, but there are a few rules changes to make it outdoor friendly. Check out our League Guidelines page to learn the specifics.

• You’re gonna be outside, so expect the unexpected. Maybe a quick gust of wind makes a serve float weird, or the angle of the sun is giving you trouble. One time I stepped on a bee. Outdoor volleyball is a scrappy game, but that’s why we love it so much! Plus, it builds character.

• We use regulation outdoor volleyballs that must be used during matches. The volleyballs are a little different from indoor, but are much better to play with outside. We’re providing these balls so you can keep your beloved Molten or Mikasa safe and clean at home.
